Ganondorf would have left Zelda alone if he tried this cannabis
Normally I am very skeptical of pre-rolls and free pre-rolls at that. So when I got a sample at the North Light 420 Cannafest, I wasn’t super excited more like, yep another pre-roll that is left over scraps and trimmings. Pre-rolls have their place in the market and ones made from decent cannabis buds are not bad. I have only had a few good pre-rolls and all of them have been from “Free Markets”. Dispensaries have not lived up to the hype. Case in point we bought a pre-roll called “Glitter Bomb” and it fizzled worse than a grocery store bottle rocket. So will these sample “dogwalkers” do any better?
My first test is always the smell test. The nose knows what the nose knows…………what did I smell…………lavender……..citrus….and a little spice. I had to put my nose almost on the tube to smell something. Not a knock on it because it is 2 small dogwalkers in a full size tube. It has a smell so one point on the board for it and 2 points for it not smelling like “infused” flower. I say this due to the fact that if you are consuming unprocessed flower it should still smell like the plant due to its biomass being almost 70-95% of its mass. So if you don’t smell the plant and only smell “flavors or scents” then it has been infused in some fashion. Back to the pre-roll at hand. It was put in a bleached pre-rolled cone with a tip that reads marijuana and it was lightly packed. Upon lighting it, I noticed it burned smoothly and the paper burned at the same rate as the flower it contained. We have all had one that burned funny and it is frustrating because you will lose some cannabis trying to fix that issue. So another point on the board. So far Hyrule Cannabis has not let me down. It is 3 for 3. The final test is the taste test. It can smell amazing but that can be manipulated easily. On the first puff……..paper………..I forgot it was lightly packed. Ok second puff the flavor starts to come through. Right away I get a little spice upfront then the citrus as it tapers off and on the exhale I get some lavender. The citrus is like a light mandarin orange and the spice is more of a cracked pepper that has sat out for a week. It is still strong but not over powering. That lavender is the icing on the cake as it smelled more of lavender in the room after I got done smoking the dogwalker. Now it still smelled like burnt cannabis but with a mixture of lavender. Vanna even commented on it smelling like lavender from across the room. So this one went 5 for 5. This is pretty stellar in my book for a free pre-roll from an event. Chances are that I smoked Zelda which is a cross of Legend OG and Orange Blossom. Explains the mixture of Citrus and Pepper, this combination may have led to the lavender taste. I could be wrong, it could be Lemon Royale. Hyrule Cannabis can be found in many dispensaries across Missouri.
