When shopping for a smoker who really doesn’t need a lot of accessories to consume her medicine, it can be a little difficult to find something they would enjoy more than extra rosin. I know she uses her Modul all the time, so why not give Studenglass’ website a once over. They had a special going for their website so most of the items were selling out fast. I originally saw a base light for the stand up traditional Studenglass water pipe. Nah, not cool enough. How about a Y splitter so two people can use it at one time………….that seems like a solution to a non problem for us. I keep scrolling and go past the original replacement glass and find the new recycler. That’s it! I know she will use that! I added it to the cart along with a replacement chamber cap because they get gunked up. The piece came shipped in a plain over-box with the recycler wrapped in bubble wrap inside of its own box. Shipping was quick for the holiday season. The recycler is just a little bit bigger than the original glass that comes with the Modul. It is sturdy, yet feels more fragile at the same time. This partly due to the design. I did not worry about it breaking during use as it snapped into place on the Modul, thanks to the built in magnets. It was filled with reversed osmosis water. It was filled just below the S on the etched Studenglass logo. The draw on this piece is different due to having 2 chambers the smoke has to work through along with the water. Once you get the hang of the draw, it provides for some amazing hits. I used it with Kush and Kreme from Ozone (Cresco IL Brand). I let the concentrate tank heat up before I dropped in a small dab. I dab at 530F and it is a nice balance of a thick cloud along with a nice rich hit. It cools the vapor just enough, not like through an ice pipe but it is enough. This recycler makes it feel like a more concentrated hit with less effort over the original glass piece. Cleaning is the same as the original. We use Formula 420’s 710 cleaner or the everyday 420 cleaner. It removes all of the residue and drys clear, unless you miss a spot. If you are looking to upgrade the Modul but don’t want the big stand, look at getting the recycler.
