A fire happened in a vacant house on the south side of Belleville yesterday 2/21/2026.
The fire appears to have started on the first floor of the house. The fire spread to the back porch and to parts of the rear roof.
Firemen can be seen knocking out windows to help clear smoke from the building.
Local residents and businesses called in the fire when it started that afternoon.
When we made it to the scene the fire was under control and a crew of firemen were clearing the house.
It is unclear what started that fire at this time.
Belleville police were also on scene asking local residents and businesses if they captured anything on camera.
It is unknown if the house was occupied at the time of the fire. This investigation is ongoing.
