Recently purchased a Sticky Greens Drip Bar disposable. When we stopped by Mystic Greens one day to purchase more Rove carts, we were informed of a new product similar to the diamond carts. The budtender told us about Sticky Greens and their 2 gram drip bar vapes. The cart is what they call an All-in-One (AIO) unit which is a self contained cart plus battery. I personally do not favor this system due to it being wasteful as the carts are not refillable. Once it is done you dispose of the entire unit. Some places have recycling for these units and other discarded batteries. This unit is flavored like a sour Fiji apple.
To do this they have to add in terpenes to flavor the liquid diamond concentrate. This flavor consisted of the three main terpenes b-Caryophyllene, Limonene, Guaiol. There may be minor ones in the mix but on their site they list only the main ones for each flavor. There are four flavors listed on their site: Pink Flamingo, Fiji Zour Apple, Peach Mango Ice, and Blue Razzleberry. Not much is disclosed about the product on their website. The liquid diamonds are made through ethanol extraction.
The Fiji Zour Apple drip bar contained less than two percent of terpenes. They hover around ninety percent THC with total cannabinoids around ninety-five to ninety-eight percent. I do not know where this total number came from as it does not list any THCA to bring that number closer to the 95-98% range. Diamonds are supposed to be the purest form of THC and highly concentrated. The downside to making diamonds is losing the terpene profile that originally came with the strain.
The crew over at Nugsmasher made diamonds using manual extraction. It is a tedious and time consuming method but does not use extra chemicals. There are many different ways to make high quality concentrates, many methods can be found on YouTube or Discord servers.
On the Sticky Greens drip bar website they list how to use the AIO. It is a simple to use device that allows for easy control of how you vape. It is not as tricked out as a full melt set up or glass pipe, but it is better than other disposables. It has three different voltage settings; 3v Maximum Flavor (L), 3.3v
Balanced flavor (M) & puffs, 3.6v Maximum Clouds (H). In my opinion there is not much difference in clouds from 3.3v and 3.6v. You do burn more THC at the higher voltage which can lead to a quicker hitting effect. I personally like the low and medium settings. Low does allow for more flavor and some of the more volatile terpenes. This flavor you get a sweeter taste and more apple flavor. Medium is where the tart kicks in and is more sour but still sweet. High is just the same, but with more being used during one hit.
Value to price, it is better than the Rove liquid diamond carts. This AIO cost about $52 for 2 grams. Compare this to even the replacement carts at 1 gram for $35 on sale for the Rove brand to $26 for 1 gram of the Sticky Greens brand. For the consumer looking to get highly concentrated vapes and not break the bank this is an option. Is it the best quality? I don’t know yet at this time. Is this the right AIO for the medical patient? It all depends on the terpenes you are looking for, They do list the terpenes per flavor but when I picked one up it did not have the claim terpenes listed on the packaging.
This brings up many questions about what strain was used and what level of quality is the starting material? Has it been treated with radiation or other chemical agents before processing? I guess it does not really matter if you are just looking to get the THC in large amounts. Adding back controlled amounts should result in stable flavor across AIO devices. This is the second AIO I have used from this brand and can confirm that the flavor is very very similar.
I am continuing to use the cart to test it from start to finish as this is my first one. So far no clogs, burning, or off putting about the AIO.
Would I recommend this over Rove, yes and no. Rove has more flavors when it comes to the liquid diamonds. I would recommend this over Rove for the price and control of the unit. It is a better deal for non medical patients in markets that are taxed heavy on recreational purposes.
